Epic Movement: Japan

This is an Epic Movement Summer Mission. Epic Movement is our campus movement that seeks to reach Asian American students by putting the gospel of Jesus Christ into a context that speaks to them so that they may have the opportunity to turn to Jesus and follow him in reaching their campuses, communities and the world. Our work this summer will revolve around pioneering new campus ministries in Japan. We will be going to un-reached campuses, and sharing with Japanese students about Jesus Christ. You will have the special privilege of being many students' first encounter with Christ.

With 125 million people in Japan, and 0.37 percent of those being Christian, Japan is the largest un-reached people group in the world. That will change as laborers are raised up to share with this dying nation. This project is open to all students, but our team will be comprised mostly of Asian American students. Our team will get plenty of chances to experience the culture and learn about the city. During team time meetings, we will also have the opportunity to process our growth and Asian American Identity- to discuss and share how it's been being there as not only an American but also as an Asian American.
