Justice Team

WHEN
Jun 3 2019 - Jun 27 2019
Human trafficking is a major topic in today’s generation. The Cru Justice Team will provide an opportunity for you to learn first hand of such oppression and injustice. In Southeast Asia we will partner with AIM (Agape International Mission), an aftercare ministry for trafficked survivors, as they work to transform an internationally known sex trafficking community into a place of God's beauty.

For two weeks you will work alongside AIM in nonthreatening community outreach activities. The first week, we will aid in trafficking prevention and community transformation by planning and leading children’s activities and Bible lessons. The second week we will continue in community transformation building a house all while getting a more in depth training of what human trafficking is and how it can be stopped.

Our summer mission will provide an outlet for the numerous students, within and outside Cru, who have a heart for humanitarian work. Through this experience, you will learn how to share you faith in the context of justice. It is vital for us, as followers of Christ, to see that we share Christ both verbally as well as through our actions. It is not either/or, but rather, both a verbal and physical proclamation.

Our goal is to give you a first hand look into anti-human trafficking work, gain a deeper understanding of Biblical justice and learn how to communicate and share that with your peers on your home campuses. After these weeks, you will return equipped to reach your peers with the Gospel and have a greater glimpse of what it looks like to be SENT into the world; engaged in God’s call for justice and sharing your faith across any and all professions. This summer mission is open to students nationwide.
