A Summer of Light
One of the most stable economies in the world; this land of mountains and forests is a great place to spend a summer. You will enjoy ministry and sightseeing during the longest daylight hours, whereas there are only seven hours of daylight in the winter. You will also be a part of a team who introduces many Swedes to the unconditional love of Christ.
After a decade of ministry in Stockholm and Uppsala, the ministry is expanding to the south. You will serve in southern Sweden in the province of Skane, ministering to students at universities in the cities of Malmo and Lund. This area of Sweden is a true cultural melting pot! Malmo's bridge to Denmark allows for easier transportatin for visitors and immigrants which provides the opportunity to minister to many different people groups. While statistics claim Christianity as the predominant religion in Sweden, it is actually an extremely spiritually dry country. The state run church has lost the gospel, leaving Sweden starving for truth in the post-modern era. You will truly be doing groundbreaking work as you share the Truth and Light with students in this beautiful land.
Most of your time in the afternoons will be spent meeting students on campus initiating spiritual conversations. You most likely will have the opportunity to enjoy fika* with your new Swedish friends. In the evenings, you will enjoy time with your team at team dinners, large group meetings, men/women's times, and outreach events. There will be no shortage of activities on this great project!

Dates, details and cost are tentative and subject to change and will be finalized in early Spring.
Please Note: All participants are REQUIRED to attend a weekend briefing on April 12-14 near Lynchburg, VA. Eagle Eyrie Retreat Conf. Center eagleeyrie.org
Upon acceptance, please be prepared to pay a $250 deposit (it will go toward your support goal but is refundable if you raise over) within 72 hours to reserve your spot on the team.
